$500 for Community Projects

There’s a bit more time on this one, but not much - PNC is offering up to $500 to any local projects, so submit some Transition-y things (I’ll put in materials for a repair workshop). If you know of land or buildings that are available, I’d think that garden-startup funding, oven-building materials, or money for a tool or film library would also make sense.

Well could we buy a library copy ($100, Mark tells me) of Y.E.R.T. to put in the library system??

Sure. If we could find a few other documentaries (I’m not sure how much a similar copy of In Transition would be), we could ask for 300-400, and if we get picked I think we could generate that many votes (there are 700 people who like our FB page).

Normally, YERT is not so costly for the individual -- but for the library, he charges a higher price, I guess since it will be viewed by many people.

On this page, I do not see any place to make sure the other people in the group get this -- or do they automatically get it??

They should automatically get it - pretty much everyone on the site has email notifications on. That being said, there aren’t a whole lot of active users - about 25 unique accounts have been logged in since May, and only those who are a member of this group will get it. I’m going to do a bigger email blast once I have a few more events sketched out for the summer, and invite people to come look at the site and join groups, particularly this one.
