Definitely agree on the frustration related to cutbacks and layoffs, even being in a very well served area (Sq. Hill North). Which group of ‘rides for free’ are you part of? I’m part of the college student group, which technically rides for ‘free’ at a cost of ~$250 a year, paid for by someone else.

Personally, I think some of the solution to the funding crisis should be changing the costs, some should be additional state or local funding, but some should be college students (particularly us grad students!) paying more for our annual bus passes. We make up too many of the total rides to not support the system more.
