 dgets for a rain garden (with perennials in bloom all-year-round) i

 rved, urban, and blighted communities' residents rising up and saying 
 that they don't want their futures left to the whims of economic tribu
 lations, energy scarcity, and environmental degradation--so they're p
 lanning and drawing up blueprints, as friends and neighbors, to make t
 heir neighborhood more secure & nicer to look at, work & invest in, an
 d live in. With the support (but not control) of local nonprofits an
 d businesses, they've built their own model (with some similarities to
  the Transition Model) to transition their community to relocalized we
 alth and sustainability, plus resiliency to a globalized economy with
