Larimer Consensus Group Meetings, 6pm 1st & 3rd Thurs.,  Kingsley Association, 6435 Frankstown Ave.
The Larimer Consensus Group is the steering group for the many community rejuvenation and sustainability initiatives in Larimer: this is where new ideas and projects get discussed and decisions are made. It's an open process and any community member or interested individual to come in and see if there's ways they can help the varied projects--as an individual or as part of a larger organization. Some highlights from previous meetings:

• How to implement housing initiatives from various nonprofits
• Going over how to be presenting and communicating the overall Larimer Vision Plan to the community, anticipating good and bad reactions

Why you should come: Connecting with, learning from, and supporting the people engineering a broad-reaching and complex community empowerment plan that may be able to be replicated many places. The residents of these neighborhoods are planning and drawing up blueprints, as friends and neighbors, to make their neighborhood more secure & nicer to look at, work & invest in, and live in, and not vulnerable to economic/environmental/energy trouble.
