Need a new lamp someone else isn't using? Need a couch to surf on for a while? Need someone to do throat-singing for you, in person? Want to offer one of these things to another human being? 

Come to a Gift Circle, a community-building measure to intertwine us in local and more connected exchange systems and economies.

This is how it works: you get in a circle with 10-20 other people and tell each other your wants, needs, and "I would like to have"s, and then you go around telling each other what you have to offer. People that have what you want and want what you have, you talk to them after the meeting.

We'll meet at 6:00 in the First United Methodist Church, which is on Center Ave. and Aiken. (Entrance on the S. Aiken side, with signs inside pointing the way to the gathering.)

Bring yourself, bring a friend, bring anyone who would appreciate this sort of thing.

If you're wary about how long that would take (yes, we do know the last one took too long) we'll be splitting the groups this time so that things will be quicker this time around, maybe even having time limits and so forth (if people want them) such that the actual circle should take under an hour, and you could theoretically be out of there by 7:00.
